Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This statement is made in accordance with Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the commitment of DataCenterServices to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains.
Commitment to Ethical Standards
We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all our business operations. We expect the same from our suppliers and partners. DataCenterServices is committed to being a responsible business and will not tolerate modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our operations or supply chain.
Organisational Structure
DataCenterServices operates as a private limited company, primarily providing critical infrastructure services within the data center sector. Our operations span across multiple regions, including Europe, and are supported by a network of wholly owned and majority-owned entities.
Employment Practices and Procedures
We follow robust recruitment processes to ensure that all employees meet legal requirements, including "right to work" checks, contracts of employment, and age verification to ensure employees are above the legal working age. We provide competitive, market-related pay, reviewed annually in line with professional services benchmarks.
Suppliers and Third Parties
We acknowledge that we may face higher risks of modern slavery when working with suppliers, especially those with operations in regions of higher risk. However, the majority of our suppliers operate in countries with low levels of modern slavery. We take a risk-based approach to reviewing and monitoring our suppliers, focusing on those in industries or regions that may pose a higher risk.
We expect all third parties we work with, including suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers, to adhere to our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking policy or demonstrate equivalent standards in their own policies.
Policies and Commitment
To combat modern slavery, we have implemented several key policies:
-
Modern Slavery Policy
-
Recruitment Policy
-
Dignity at Work Policy
-
Whistleblowing Policy
-
Anti-Corruption Policy
-
Equality and Diversity Policy
-
Corporate Social Responsibility Policy
These policies guide our operations and ensure that modern slavery risks are minimized within our supply chains. We regularly review and update these policies to remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
Risk Management and Due Diligence
We continuously monitor potential risks and conduct due diligence to ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act. This includes requiring suppliers to publish their own Modern Slavery Statements where applicable. We also ensure that all third parties comply with relevant laws and regulations.
As part of our risk management, we regularly review our supply chain, focusing on suppliers in high-risk sectors and regions. Our Third Party Risk Team oversees the due diligence and monitoring process to address any potential risks.
Whistleblowing and Reporting
We encourage employees and third parties to report any suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking. We have a strict non-retaliation policy for anyone reporting concerns in good faith. All reports are handled confidentially, and we take legal or disciplinary action against individuals involved in modern slavery or human trafficking.
Effectiveness and Training
We use key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of our efforts in preventing modern slavery. These include vetting procedures for suppliers and tracking whistleblowing reports. We provide ongoing training to all employees to raise awareness of modern slavery risks and ensure they know how to report any concerns.
Future Actions
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we plan to introduce additional face-to-face training for employees engaged with suppliers and enhance our due diligence processes for high-risk suppliers.
This statement will be reviewed annually, and any changes will be communicated accordingly. We remain fully committed to preventing modern slavery in all aspects of our business.
